With last night's rains came the spiders. They were all over the place! Don't get me wrong I love nature, but me and spiders just don't mix. Last night was a sleepless night in the Bounder!

  • We have found that every campsite/state seems to have different insects that try to move in with you. Some places have ant problems, some have roaches, some ladybugs etc... But it seems ALL of them have spider problems! Spiders love the RV's!!!

  • @CampColombo Ladybugs sound so much nicer than spiders :)

  • Oh, no spiders please! How in the heck do they get in??? I just got back from Lexington, Ky & got 5, yes, 5 spider bites on me! Camped one night in Ark, daddy long legs then got in my rig. Doors shut, windows shut, etc....I'd hate to think they got on me & I brought them in. Yuk. I don't know what kind bit me, but I'm still treating the bites. Time to bomb the rig I think.

  • @ReignBeauHounds Luckily these spiders were not interested in biting us and they've since moved on to a better place to live.

  • like the little update! no video of spiders :(

  • @matthew2000tx lol usually we're more concerned with getting them out of the motorhome rather than taking video - next time I see one I'll snap some pictures or grab the video camera - I still can't figure out which species they are!

  • @MrGraygrizz I just looked up some "natural" solutions to deter the spiders. All our seals are in good shape, I've been leaving the vents open during the day and even though there are screens maybe they're slipping in through a little crack. *shrug* We'll keep finding them and putting them back outside where they can do their job. We haven't been bitten yet! :)

  • Maybe they make a rv safe bug spray to treat the rv? Are all your window & door screens in good shape? Good Luck Guys! Tim.
