On December 15, 2011 Senator Vitter asked Greg Jaczko what he had apologized for in his letter to the White House Chief of Staff. His answer was that he was sorry for causing a distraction from the important task of ensuring nuclear safety. Senator Vitter then asked if he agreed with the report issued by Rep Ed Markey that describes the move by the other four commissioners as a coup. He essentially agreed with that conclusion.
