Police Incompetence in Shawano Cty

72 year old Native American man from the Stockbridge Reservation was pulled over because of an alleged headlight out. Even though the elderly man demanded to know why he was pulled over he was not violent. When the victim was asked who installed the tint on his window he replied, the manufacturer. The officer sarcastically responded, I don't think so. The victim then became verbally defensive and the officer responded with serious incompetence when dealing with this situation (shoving the man up against his car and throwing him down to the pavement) and improper protocol. The victim was a medical patient on dialysis and needed to be treated with care, when told this the officer still treated him improperly.

@zachlee, Shawano is racist. When you walk into a Walmart and ppl make snotty comments just because of how you dress or they presume to know what you are like based on your associations? I have personally heard shawano police make racial comments to native youth in shawano county when a native steals its on morning news when a native gets caught with drugs its on the front page of the paper but never do u see a strory how natives have the highest rate to enroll in the military or the native youth who are top of the class or sports.... there are bad people of all color but in shawano county media natives are prime target just as many white people in shawano do drugs an steal!!!!!

@Speedie15 You are contradicting yourself. I see no reason for the officer to have treated the man as harshly as he did. He goaded the man into the response. It should have been handled differently.

The guy dug his own grave by one, stepping out of the car, showing agression, and acting like he was above it all. He would have driven away with likely a warning to get his headlights aimed properly, instead he was thrown in jail for acting out, just as anyone would expect.

Shawano altogether is a racist place. Im white and I have no problem with Natives! But I do know white people who don't like Natives, and Natives who don't like white people. It goes both ways. As for the cult. I respect theRamas, they are super nice, but for them to claim that the Shawano government is corrupt is ridiculous, considering it is them buying restaurants and stuff, then putting them out of business. It makes Shawano look like a shittier place than it is.
