Westboro Baptist Church Comes to Albany 8/31/09

The Westboro Baptist Church has been notorious for its picketing outside of military funerals. This took place outside of a Jewish Community Center in Albany, NY. Shirley Phelps was the first member I spotted.

Note folks I was acting as an objective reporter and my goal was not to engage these people in any sort of intense dialogue. However, I do not believe in their interpretation of what God is all about.

@ZeylaBorn Yeah, amuse and sadden. I served 9 years in the US Army, so I've something fundamentally opposed to their behaviors. Upon departure from the Army, I became a rather profound scholar of the Bible, and that furthers my abhorance of their church. I'm mostly sorrowful for the true victims of this church, the children who are forced to live within it and accept by threat their doctrine of hate. So Jesus, according to your logic, was a part of an unmoral criminal gang/criminal race. You and your religion contradict each other at every turn. And you fail to recognize the similarities between Christianity and Judaism. Jewish people worship from a holy text, worship within a common house, and believe in God. And your idea of a gang is horribly misconstrued. Come onto the wrong side of town, bigot, and you can meet a real gang.
