A combination of fresh vegetables and cashew nuts makes a delicious filling salad. Take to work for lunch accompanied with French Bread or serve as a healthy side dish at dinner.

  • That was very kind. Thank you.

  • This salad is sooo good, ive had before

just add raisins and lemon ginger dressing:)

  • @MissToxicLove

Thanks for your response. That lemon ginger dressing sounds good. That is what I like about salads. From basic ingredients u can add just about any fruit, dried fruit, nuts, grains and make it an original salad. I am writing an ebook on salads which I plan to have on sale in about a month. Will keep in touch.

    Thanks.

    Nirmala.

  • wtf? she just says take ingredients of your choice, and cut them...... i dont get how thats some great advice

  • Well, thanks for taking the time to view the video.

When saying ingredients of your choice, I meant use what you can see in the video OR whatever ingredients u may have at home. There is no rigid recipe. In other words it is flexible.

  • omg ur voice,,

  • Thanks for taking the time to view this video. I do have an accent. It is South African. I suppose everyone's taste differs. I have received many compliments about my accent and it has been in icebreaker to many interesting conversations.

  • That can't be healthy?

Nuts are EXTREMELY good for you, and so are avocados.

You might not realize, but we need healthy fats in our diet and proteins.

    Its perfect.

Ty for this vid, you are wonderful.

  • To make it more healthy, remove the nuts. Too much fat for the heart. My nutritionist (cardiac) says that I should only eat things with 3 grams of fat or less per serving, and no more than 45 grams of fat a day.

  • I love salads but in the past I had only been a lettus, iceberg at that, tomatoe and cucumber type of gal. Since becoming a mature adult, I discovered different types of lettus (no more iceberg for me) and within the last month I started experimenting with nuts, seeds, dried fruit ect., and I LOVE IT! Thanks so much for posting this video.

  • @durbanhome Yeah! I like your accent! But maybe he meant it as: omg ur voice (as in wow nice voice?)

  • @RetroTaco Sometimes I add a little garlic powder to the dressing too.I also mix up the vinegars.Sometimes I use red wine vinegar or a touch of balsamic too.

  • @HattieLovesCattie No but i will try it thanks

  • @RetroTaco Have you had the Garlic Herb dressing by Good Seasons? Its good.I sometimes mix it with the regular G S's Italian dressing in a jar.I also will cut half a garlic clove and drop that in the jar.

  • @HattieLovesCattie i used to add creamy dressings but i don't anymore otherwise i don't have any but in that time something garlicy was my favourite

  • @RetroTaco I just can't eat a salad without dressing,no matter how hard I try!!!! The sweeter the dressing, the better.I do put less than I used to.:)My late mother used to say," poor salad, its swimming in dressing".:) What dressings are your favorites?

  • @HattieLovesCattie Have you gotten used to it without any dressing yet? as i find it pretty hard to
