this is what the 1988 custom cruiser owners manual saya about the limited slip rear axle that was standard in all 80s full size wagons ( normally the limited slip axle unit works like a standard axle. however when either drive wheel is on a slippery surface,and the opposite drive wheel has better traction, the limited slip unit can continue to move the car even though one of the wheels may be spinning ) that is a descripyion of how a limited slip diff actually works and this is the description from general motors so if you say otherwise you are calling general motors ( somebody that knows a bit more about it than you ) a liar
