What is a doula?

We don't have this word 'Doula' in the UK. I never heard it before.I'm not sure if we even have that position. The Midwife would take care of everything.

I personally know a couple whose baby suffered serious brain injuries because of "natural" home delivery under supervision of a doula. Do yourselves a favor. Get your ass into a hospital, and fast.

Doulas are not trained in "'natural home delivery'" as my video explains. Doulas are trained to assist a woman pre-natally, in labor and post-partum not to deliver babies.

Cornbruiser, learn the facts before you tell people doulas are unsafe. Doulas and midwives do not perform the same functions--doulas DON'T SUPERVISE BIRTH.
The only possible way that a doula that was doing her job could have injured a baby would be if she dropped it, which could happen to anyone (even trained obstetricians).
