Yesterday, December 3, 2011, I again headed to Kirkwood to get my "train fix." The wife knows I have a "deadly" addiction to trains and have to have my fix every so often. Even though I was able to spend only a short while at the station, I did manage to catch Amtrak 314, the eastbound "Missouri River Runner," as it was running about 20 minutes late. Less than 5 minutes after it left the station, I caught a westbound UP empty coal drag. As I headed to the car, the wife buzzed me on the cell phone with a grocery list. It logically follows that I then had to leave and head to Schnuck's and get the groceries so I could be home before dark. Enjoy!!
Sorry you weren't there on Friday; you missed solid KCS power leading a empty military train back to East St.Louis and both engines were in the Belle paint, ohh well at least you got some trains. Nice catches Bill
