@bahmshayno they believed that deaf children must decide what they want..
ORALISM? its bad idea because its not benefit for them to learn.
many people don't interact with a deaf-oral peole because deaf-oral people don't have self-esteem.
in reality, deaf-oral people have been lonely at all the times.. they feel inside the silent world.
i experienced.
now, i realized from the past. i decided to change myself . i used a sign language practically.
i hope they will change. ^_^

@bahmshayno nope.. i know their parent force them how to speak.. ORALISM IS VERY ABUSE..
and i am ex-former PID. i hate PID so much because its not worth..
i would like to share my short with you. my parent forced me how to speak and i suffered for so many years. almost 16 years.
now, i was against my parent about this. i am now using a sign language.
they saw that deaf children used a sign language as a gift and they are smart..
continued..

@punkdeaf do you understand sign language? Most people do not. So it is upon them unfortunatly to learn how to communicate, so they must learn to speak, and of course read lips, now learn some respect.

NOBODY IS FORCING THEM!!! ITS THEIR WILL THAT DRIVES THEM TO SPEAK...what drives you punkdeaf? your bitterness perhaps?
the hearing should study sign language because it's easier for them. it's just like studying french or japanese. for the Deaf, learning how to speak, entails more effort because it's not in their nature.

@teacherneri they are not just taught how to speak, but also teaches them that disability doesnt hinder them from doing what hearing people can.
