where can you get a piston, or how can you build it??

@Edit9D The piston is actually the simplest part. It is nothing more than a round brass profile that happened to fit perfectly into the brass tube I used for the cylinder.The length depends on the engine you are building and has to be calculated.

wow. how did you build the boiler?

Soldered using plumbing tubes (copper). The only difficulty is the top with the screw. That requires a special thread cutter and a heat-proof seal.

hey, nice work! :) Just need some advice... I need to make a piston (larger than yours) but i'm not sure what kind of parts i could use that would fit nicely into eachother? Like the rod and the actual casing... Thanks. Keep building more of these!

wow! you have a ho scale lyout, right? why not put anothe wheel on that, make a car for the boiler, and make it into an ho scale locomotive?
