40" Toshiba 40E200U Unboxing

Unboxing of the Toshiba 40E200U 40" LCD 1080p TV. My intention was to use it as a monitor via HDMI but it looks horrible and has a letter box on all 4 sides. Don't get me wrong Bluray movies and such look great on this TV, just don't purchase for monitor use!

Because i can't and i dunno why...

@damn58 I use fiber optics connected to a Dolby receiver so I have never even tried. But you can try setting your default device in the sound options.

@FuzzyJe11o In my case though there was NO optimal setting. Everything was set correctly, it was the TVs fault.

@smartcanuck Many reasons for a black box around the picture can be that your desktop picture is not big enough, or your resolution settings are not at optimal.

@smartcanuck I returned it, go look at the price of a real 32" monitor. It is just not compatible in a few specs, go get yourself two matching DELL IPS panels and use extended desktop.

Did you ever get it working better as a monitor. I got it for the same reason. There has to be a why to customize the size of the resolution.
