I call it a hack because it is hard to find any reliable info about how
to use this camera. The "hack" is essentially using a lens with an
aperature ring and aiming the camera directly at a light and pressing
AE lock, lowering the ISO as far as it will go, then using a low fstop
(manually because the camera will not allow this adjustment). This will
be so much better when I get more time to show how significant this is
for other D90 users to "unlock" their camera. I found the info on a
message board, but I can't remember where. The encoding makes it a
little fuzzier than it was. it was incredible compared to a video I
took a few months ago before I knew how to do this. This was not set up with lighting and it is hard to do anything complicated with this prime lens but I will definitely be getting more of these Nikor lenses with full manual rings.
@kylemcqueen33 Sorry I had moved to Vimeo with this kind of stuff...I don't understand the question. What you are seeing is the color of the lights in the room, the only thing I did in post was try and bring more darkness back into it. It is really amazing, there was very little light I can't even find things in the room in this low of light without turning lights on.
