@999yullan Genghis becoming leader of his clan and him uniting the other mongolian tribes. They were sick of being bullied by China and wanted better land for their animals to graze on and for them to hunt. Once they took China, there was no stopping them.

There is no single answer. It wasn't an event rather it was progress. If you interested. I could write more explained answer. Just let me know! But I am no expert and I could be wrong. Though I had read a lot.

If I was to best answer the question presented in the title of this video, I'll won't hesitate to say that the only Khan to fill the empty space left by the passing of Chinggis Khan was Ugudei Khan. He truly followed his father's footsteps with the trusted sinitic administration led by Khitan Daoist Yelu Chucai (Urtu Saqal); there were no Golden Horde, no Ilkhanid, no Yuan, no Muslim and Christian sects and divisions... only the main guiding principle of Tengri whose power on Earth is the Khan.
