Veditz VS A. G. Bell

Why Veditz disliked A.G. Bell?
A.G. Bell had a dark secret that you didn't know..

This film was based on Alexander Graham Bell's dark secret.

First clip:Do you know who A.G.B, of course everyone know him.He invented the phone.

Second Clip:A long time ago, A.G.B wanted to ban Deaf-Deaf marriage because he didn't want to have more deaf babies in the world.

third clip: A lot of deaf schools allowed to use sign language, but A.G.B ban the sign language and change into Oral.

Fourth clip: From now on, Oral took over

Fifth clip:Even worse, A.G.B fired all deaf teachers because of sign language.

Sixth clip: it's really SAD!

Seventh clip: Veditz and AGB argued about ASL and ORAL for a long time

Eighth clip:In Europe from later 1850's, the Milan conference discussed that they wanted to set the oral method. Veditz found out that the Oral will take over the America, Veditz refused let it happen.He doesnt care if some deaf people can speak orally, but we must cherish ASL. AGB thrilled about Oral taking over in America.

Ninth clip: Know what, AGB did not invent ORAL. The oral have been here since 721 A.D. That is way before AGB was born. BUT he had money that he can afford to support oral to spread out in America. Oral became powerful than ASL. Veditz frustrated, he tried to protect ASL and defend Oral. It was really hard. How did Veditz saved ASL by making film to preserve the sign language.He collected the money to make film so he can show the world.So the way he can get people to see and understand why ASL is precious.

Tenth clip: OUCH! See, Veditz doesn't want that so do you understand why cuz he wanted to sign!I think why not we set up bilanguage better than just oral. Use both ASL and written English.

Eleventh clip:see that letter the quote Veditz wrote. He asked Bell to come to one of his NAD conference, Bell declined. 6 years later, Veditz wrote another letter to Bell about donation for support sign language, Bell kept declined. Veditz told Bell that in Bell's head that he knew "...the confession that the oral is a failure method."

Bell donated money to Volta Bureau to adversite and encourage all deaf children to speak oral.

Veditz was disappointed that Bell didnt support ASL only oral. However, Veditz congratulated Bell that he invented phone for hearing people with ears. Veditz was thinking about why not Bell invent something that related to eyes, such as videophone. It snice when Veditz think about that "futuristic technology" by then.

Twelveth clip: Irony, AGB had a wife and mother who is deaf, but they speak oral. AGB knew sign very well, but he still support oral. HUH?!?!

Thirteen clip: See the Oral have been here since 721 A.D. and why it is still struggling for a thousand years?

Plus AGB didn't want Deaf boys and girls to interact together. We were seeing more and more Deaf students in mainstream schools. Now, we're seeing more and more students alone in schools. He wanted to isolate us. Today is 2/6/11. Your video still doesn't work.

OUCH! Looks like AG Bell's big hand is choking on that little Deaf boy's throat! To let you know that so many people thought AG Bell was the first telephone inventor but he is NOT! AG Bell stole the telephone patents from a poor Italian man! Great job on your video!! Looking forward to see you more!
