I learned this trick on my own through trial and error over time and made this video in order to save time for other players to learn. Online, I had to type so much and provide demonstrations for every person who wanted to learn this trick. I could have been cold and turned them down, but using a glitch to gain power over others just isn't fair, not to mention the possible haters I'd have for being a showoff. This is not against the rules and is definitely not a hack. If the video confused you, I hope this description has enough information to guide you. If not, ask away. Comment if you please. We may even be able to meet up online if you want. If I'm not be able to add you as a friend, please don't be offended. I get so many friend requests all the time and it's become difficult to find any random noobs to remove. People have been looking up to me in positive ways and I don't want to be rude by removing someone who ports to me all the time with good intentions or needs help with their own castle, you know?

HOW I DID THIS:
I first placed a 'Long Blue Runner' somewhere. It's used as a floor to help you build off of. Then took out a Krokotopian Woven Rug' and held it over the runner, ready to be placed. Without placing it, I rotated it, (turned it) and moved the rug away to show you it wasn't placed. Now, wherever I'd rotate the rug, the runner would reappear right under it in the same position it was in when I first rotated it. (If you don't have a laptop with a touch pad like mine, use the wheel on the mouse to rotate.) I used that tower as a wall to allow the runner to get it into the air, then I used the runner itself to rotate it into the position I chose. Once in place, I hit cancel for the rug, leaving the runner floating. Then, I took out another 'Krokotopian Woven Rug' and placed it on the ground and placed a flower path over it in a way that i could still select the rug and place it on the floating runner. The runner had been moved because of a rug, not placed, so it would go back to where i last placed it, but I PLACED the rug with the flower path in the air, so that will stay in that same position and be visible on anyone's screen. The path would look rather strange with that random blue rug hanging off the side, so in order to separate the 2 objects plus the runner while I'm at it, I rotated another rug under the flower path, moved it out of the way, and hit cancel, so that I could pick up the runner+mat without picking up the flower path by mistake. The flower path was MOVED, NOT PLACED at this point, so in order to see where it really is, like on a friend's screen, I had to refresh by leaving the area and returning, which is why I entered the house and went right back out.

HERE ARE THE REASONS TO WHY THIS WORKS:
The rugs/mats/carpets/runners/floor decorative items are designed for your character to be able to walk on them and for you to be able to place items on them. Because of the item ability, whatever you have placed on a rug(etc.) will move along with the rug when you move it. The flower path (What I call it.) has the ability that allows you to walk on it, but not the ability to have items placed on it. I could have rotated that flower path under the floating runner and nothing would have happened because it lacks that ability. The Krokotopian Woven Rug and the Long Blue Runner have both abilities, so the glitch is possible. The flower path item is placed on the rug, then the rug is selected and moved to a new location, thinking that the flower path is a little object placed on it, taking it along for BOTH to be placed elsewhere at the same time. Because the runner allows small items to be placed on it and the rug is small enough, the rug with the flower path are placed onto the floating runner. Now, how was the runner able to float? Again, the rug's ability to pick things up comes into place here as well. The rug can move anything that's OVER it when rotating, but even though the runner is below the rug, the rug was ready to be placed on the runner as it rotated, allowing this to become possible. So long as the rug is ready to be placed and is touching another mat/runner/rug/carpet floor decorative item as you rotate it, it should work.

I do not own any copyright over Wizard101. I only intend to share a fun trick that makes the gameplay more enjoyable with others using only the game itself. I did not see or read anything about this being inappropriate nor against the rules, but if Wizard101 wishes me to stop, I will.

  • So much to be explained for a video under 2 minutes, right? Imagine teaching this to lots of people at a time for hours.... Though I have to say, I enjoy watching my 'students' become more creative with their castles, no matter how long they've played nor what level they are.
