Brownlee is stupendous here some of the greatest singing uttered in my lifetime -tremendous!!!

That was FEARLESSLY sung! I think we might have a second golden age if we have more singers of their caliber performing. Madame Gutierrez and Maestro Brownlee are two of the most gifted voices in classical music right now!

@MrAndredekock Right....ROFLMAO...that must be it. Everyone is a bel canto "specialist". Hilarious.

Bravi! I have been listening to a whole bunch of offerings of this duet and I find these two VERY pleasing indeed! Having just commented that JDF paled into insignificance against Gedda/Sutherland, yet I find Brownlee/Gutierrez really exciting to hear and coming very close to the electricity that Gedda/ Sills or Gedda/Sutherland had in their performances. I think Brownlee is one of the most accomplished and truly polished tenors the USA has ever produced. Bravi once again.

@MrCafiero Being a trained bel canto-style opera baritone myself I had to laugh at your know-it-all stance and I sense that somewhere deep inside your psyche there is a very frustrated and probably jealous tenor trying to hide away. Maybe in your next life you might be able to sing as badly as you say Brownlee does, so there's hope for you yet!

Lawrence makes that high D sounds just too damn easy. That's my only complaint. A tenor either has it, or he doesn't.
