@okkellie - That is when she is performing in Faust as Marguerite. In fact if you search Youtube with the phrase "Jeanette MacDonald sings 'Marguerite' from Gounod's Faust" the video will come up which has the entire scene where she sings a whole selection from that opera, including her glorious finale of Anges purs, anges radieux that you are after. Enjoy!! :)

I have searched all the San Francisco clips on youtube but so far have not found the exact one I'm looking for. It is the scene where she is dressed in a long white gown & is praying on her knees in a prison & Blackie decks the process server before he can stop her preformance. I love the song she is singing but don't have a clue as to the name of it.

Great to see this in colour, I have recently bought the film, but in black and white. Very moving scene, I just love Clark Gable and could listen to Jeanette McDonald all night.
