I love this score, and will be performing the Concerto Macabre in Oct 2011. Hermann at his best.

One of Benny's finest scores. The Fox orchestra was one of Hollywood's best, thanks to Alfred Newman.

Very interesting indeed. Do you have access to any more cues like this? I mean from this score... or even from other scores? I've heard some unedited cues for "Jane Eyre" which are fascinating - with or without the opening chat and Herrmann's occasional comment or bark...
