04 gtp comp G. 3.5 inch pulley, 3"downpipe, k&n air intake, racing plugs and wires, 180 t-stat, Tuned PCM. Car has 28,000 miles on it. It was about 20 outside so it pulled some good numbers!

  • Very! The 3.8 motor has been around forever so it is pretty much perfected. I went on a 3000 mile round trip, non stop with a 1000 pounds of people and luggage and it never had any problems. During that trip on the highway I had a G35 coupe try to race me from 65 to 130mph and even with a fully weighted down car i still walked all over him. I guess thats the beauty of this car! Their great cars and i plan on keeping it forever! Just keep it maintained, and it will last longer than you! haha

  • Whats your KR at?

  • i bought the aeroforce guages theres pretty awesome. I have 0.0 knock even at full trottle. It was about 70 degrees today. I had 93 pump gas

  • well now that your at o knock add the supporting mods for a 3.4 and you will really be haulin : )

  • I was wondering if ill even need anymods. I was thinking about going to a 3.4 and seeing what my knock would run at and if it still stayed 0 or close to it then i would just leave it on. If not i plan on getting a SS intercooler.

  • it's a 3.9 liter right?

  • @regalgs1 im about to go back to school, so i dont have a whole lot of money to throw around but if i put on a k&n cai, dp and a new pcm would that be worth the money im spending as far as performance goes?

  • @rockerdude29 @lurch1489 a 3.6 w/ supporting mods on these cars will net you ~45 hp, each pulley size drop which is a tenth of an inch gives you an extra pound of boost. so if 3.8 inches gives you 8 lbs a 3.5 would put you at 11 lbs. which in turn would really start cranking out horse power. also a 3.6 setup on the 04+ gtps is the same as a 3.4 setup on the 97-03 gtps

  • @Ericsson787 Well to make 300 whp, you will need a good amount of money and alot of patience, as well as someone to tune your pcm to keep up. Also if you plan to make numbers like that. you'll need a different tranny, a built one. TEP or ZZP. mods as follows, Open Cone filter, DP, Headers, PCM, Start with a 3.6 SC pulley, then if you have 0 KR try a 3.4, but if you go 3.4 i recommend an intercooler. and to make 300 whp youll need a decent cam/head set up

  • @jetblackgtp Yay :) thumbs up for long live GRAND PRIX! Pontiac forever!

  • Sick ride but i got a Few questions here: what kind of headlights are those and are those stock housings, any advantage to using a 160 tstat instead of a 180, and is that grill after market or factory spec?

  • i take my GTP to dyno my numbers are 310whp, headers, 3.4 pulleym k&n FIKP, 180 t-stat, tuned, ACdelco sparplugs, 3 inch downpipe, haven't take it to the track jet, watch my videos of my gtp

  • @Ericsson787 Sorry, Yea I mean Downpipe, and go with a 3 inch. Also as far as tuning goes you have several options. ZZP, 3800 Performance, HP Tuners, just to name a few, have great tunes available for the 3800! Good Luck.

  • @GXPFiend By DP, you mean down pipe right? And what would be a good performance chip to buy for my GTP? appreciate the help.
