This video shows exactly how to accurately measure your bodyfat percentage at home using skin fold calipers. There are bodyfat tests for both MEN and WOMEN shown using the Jackson/Pollock 3-Site Caliper Method.

Taking the time to regularly measure your bodyfat percentage is a critical component to your Total Fitness Bodybuilding routine.

By measuring your bodyfat percentage every 2 weeks, you will get accurate feedback and know for sure if your diet and exercise program is working or not based on your body composition changes.

If you don't measure your bodyfat percentage then you are just "guessing & hoping" that you are on the right track to building a leaner and more muscular physique.

Why take that risk...
Wouldn't you like to know for sure that your efforts in the gym are being put to good use and that you are not just spinning your wheels and wasting your time?

Just watch the video presentation below to learn exactly how to accurately measure your bodyfat percentage at home using simple skin fold calipers. There are bodyfat test demonstrations for both MEN and WOMEN shown on the video.

  • Hi Lee, I wanted to test my body fat, just for the records... I guess I'm doing something wrong, the calculator says that I have 1,4% fat, I'm lean, but that can't be right... just saying :-)

  • @juncal230975

When you are really lean, body fat tests will "under estimate" your bodyfat by 3-4%. If you research the various bodyfat formulas they mention this. When I tested my bodyfat in this video it came up less then 2% as well. Bodyfat tests are most accurate for folks who are in the mid range (i.e. 10-20% range).

  • When i do the chest abs thigh i get 8.4% but when i do the neck girth height weight and waist one i get 10.4 can anyone clear this up which is more accurate?

  • @bozzza69

Generally skin fold measurements are more accurate then tape measure formulas. When you just measure with a tape measure it can't tell the difference between muscle mass and fat mass. But skin fold thickness is pure bodyfat.

  • supposed to flex your areas when u do it?

  • @ZacPloskiFitnessFan

No, stay relaxed when you take your measurements. It's easier to pinch the skin when relaxed.

  • yea she's nice, no offense Lee. I'm guessing she competes in figure or bodybuilding too. Thanks for the link Lee, going to use get some calipers and do this myself.

  • Yo lee. how come when i do the body fat caliper test it comes out so much lower then doing it with the tape measure? Im pretty sure Im doing the caliper right.

  • Body like bay watch face like crime watch.

  • @Guile1989 You pull as much as you possibly can and measure that.

  • Hi Lee,

How much skin do you grab to make the measurement? I weigh about 147lbs, 5 ft 9, and I can see my abs quite well down the middle. But for some reason, I seem to store more around my sides above the hip, and very little elsewhere (like a girl lol). How much skin do I pull or 'pinch' to make the reading?

  • @leemhayward Thanks, that's what I thought when I watched your Video, thanks for the reply!

  • shed got pokies
