I liked this video. It makes me think that we need songs that talk specifically about polygamy or that are about loving more than one wife, rather than the monogamy centered songs. We should do the same for movives, although Big Love is a start.

Does the LDS church not believe Joseph Smith is a true prophet? Why is it alright to believe some of Smith's prophecies and not others? How can you pick and chose the words to believe when the man is supposedly a man of God?

Polygamy = the practice or custom of having more than one wife or husband at the same time.

Polygyny = the practice in which a man has more than one wife at the same time.

Polyandry = the practice in which a woman has more than one husband at the same time.

Please get it straight.

@Candide333 Don't be a idiot. There is a lot of advantages to polygamy for woman. People to help you with all the work that it takes to successfully run a household for one thing. I may not have been raised in polygamy but I still strongly believe in peoples right to practice polygamy as long it is between consenting adults.

Besides now of days some woman are taking multiple husbands (Polyandry) right here in America. I wouldn't call those woman slaves.

When God put Adam to sleep, He took one rib from Adam not two, and when Adam saw Eve he said, bone of my bone flesh of my flesh. Adam looked in the future and said, Man will leave mother and father and Cleave to your wife. Not Two, one wife. The O/T said, that it would cause confusion. Polygamy is sin in the eyes of God. But in the eyes of man it is selfhishness. and greed, Lust. It's not the will of God. I believe that it is a waste of the other womens time and life if she would have stayed.
