  • I get strong gag reflex. How do I prevent this?

  • @JamesOsyris just take it slow and easy and you will acclimatise. Try warm tea gargle also.

  • Hey, so my throat singing has a lot more rumbling to it than yours does. It doesn't have that nice solid drone to it that is really conducive to modulation. How can I get the sound to be closer to yours?

  • @Zenweaponry just takes time for everything to settle down - the vocal chords must back off right away so the sound production / vibration can occur lower down then work on sustain and diaphragmatic pressure to hold steady sound

  • It's really possible for anyone. I mean - your low sound is clear and likeable. But when i try it sounds more like growling for me.. It's up to my voice or i just have to practise until i get clear sound?

  • @aldcor Keep going, never met anyone who could not get it eventually.

  • OMG I just did it a little... cool!

  • This is one of the best videos ever for throat singing. Combining the idea of imitating Louis Armstrong from a different video and using your "Inner Harley" sound, I was able to get it straight away and even produce almost all the other "vowel" sounds after a couple minutes practice. Superb, brilliant and most excellent. Cheers!

  • It just seems I cant do it...hmph...I just can't get those folds.

  • 3:33 - 3:41 broken robot smile... think about it...

  • I told it is impossible for me, as an individual to get my voice as low as I got it thanks to watching your video. Amazingly, it took me HALF an hour to get khagyraa as long as 20 seconds!!!! You rock, dude!

  • I know this sounds weird but if you have an electric wood sander. Do some sanding and try to harmonize your voice with the sound vibrations that it produces. That's how I started.

  • all of the vibration seems to be coming from either my nasal area or just above my adams apple, how do i get it lower?

  • @JonnyMcBoingBoing By the time you responded to me, I already became pro at it. HAHA Even developing my own very odd throat singing techniques. Also, I'm a musician in a heavy alternative band and I'm attempting to incorporate this type of throat singing into a song. It has already been done by Fair to MNidland. (AMAZING BAND) I'll post a link to a video of him throat singing live.

  • Swore throat on route >.< worth it !
