@paulinesmith44 i agree, that is the problem with english media. they try to keep the reputation of england up by implying that it was the whole of britain, when, infact it was england. if the riots had been in scotland they would point out that it is just scotland and would take no blame, but they dont care about the reputation of the rest of britain and will happily share there blame.

@tommyteapot13 i dont blame all English people at all...it was a jibe thrown at those in the media who, had this happened in any other part of the UK then the country would be named and not deemed as 'british', however when it goes wrong in London, it's a @british' problem. If that makes sense. i.e. riots in Scotland would have been portrayed and emphasised as being Scottish riots.
