  • That's the U.S. Army Field Band from Ft Meade, Maryland, not Pershing's Own. If you listen to the announcers you can hear them talking about the Jazz Ambassadors and The Volunteers, which are both part of the Field Band. Also, I'm in the band.

    Thanks

  • @bullmand Thank you, I guess drewpyperc was mistaken.

  • Thank you, corrected.

  • The US Military Band program has been eroding before the financial crisis..We have been losing a huge number of US Army Bands including the very long established highly regarded First Army New York Band...which I was a member of...I know first hand the value and importance of a Army Band in a local parade or performance in a small town anywhere USA. Contact your elected leaders and insist on seeing a Military Band in your town in your parade. Bring the kids they love quality music.

  • @bullmand do you know tom palmiter he is my uncle

  • WOOT!!!!!!!!!

  • Just to clarify, this is actually the US Army Band, "Pershing's Own." They were followed in this parade by a group of cadets from The US Military Academy at West Point.
