One of han chinese greatest leader (禹）is from Qiang. Han chinese has a root in Qiang from the very beginning. Same to tibetian.
They are one of earliest.

Qiang are probably the closest thing to the common ancestor of most Sino-Tibetan languages.

No, the Qiang nowadays and Tibetans, Yi's are all from Ancient Qiang, a great group in northwest part of China (upper part of Yellow River)
