I just watched this documentary last night...it was moving, funny and captivating...Irene , your parents are such wonderful sweet people....and I'm sending much love to all of your family...it was lovely to "meet" you all....xxx

A fascinating and beautiful film. Congratualtions on a good work and for being part of such a wonderful family. You are all quite lucky. I'd love to know some day how your parents are progressing.

Irene, I just wanted you to know that your film was great! My wife and I just watched it on HBO and it is really a touching story about your parents. They seem like wonderful people! You are so blessed to have them in your life...and of course, vice versa. Good luck in your future films.

Irene- Being from Utah I didn't even know this was at Sundance. I just watched it on HBO and I wanted to say thanks. My GParents were deaf and this brought memories and tears to me. My dad while older than you was in your shoes. Thanks for such a great story.

This film affirms that sound connect us to a larger world, whether we like it or not. But sound is not necessary for love-- this couple has been married for years and they didn't need sound to know that they love one another. They don't need sound to understand one another.
I think hearing people should know too that there are deeper levels of understanding that exceed sound.Deaf people who want access to sound may not prviledge it-they may recognize another perspective in it.
