Many people daily like in the 1000's get into difficulty with pain medication. The pain is gone but they like the feeling. And keep taking more. And have trouble stopping this practice. This does not mean you have addiction problems necessarily. Don't however try to quit on your own. You can go into seizures. And the worst case would see you dead. Get a medical professional to help you wean off it. If that doesn't work then consider a 12 stepper. But hey. We all know deep inside the truth.

You're on the right track, I think... Here is my opinion: Everyone who uses opiates for pain (legal, medically sanctioned use) will eventually face some dependency issues. However, addiction and dependency are two different things. Dependence is the tolerance and withdraw your body experiences as a direct result of using the drug. Addiction is insane, obsessive and illogical behavior centered on the drug and it's use. Not everyone goes through the latter and when you do, it's addiction.
