On the occasion of 1st anniversary of the new state and in the midst of the challenges that the young state is facing, culture is at the core of its considerations. UNESCO's culture programme for South Sudan is working closely with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports to help them realize their plans for developing these cultural institutions which will be key elements of their work to build an inclusive nation.
