actually, the song is relatively catchy. I wouldn't call it a classic though.
It's an above average tune that's on par with most radio rock pop nowadays. Looks like a fun song for them to sing live.

Maybe the 'bridge' is not so good. It bit '1970's'. This song needs to be re-composed, with another Gin Blossoms song, then this will be a very good song.
