you rarely catch them they eat crustations... spear

good catch with the hog fish... i usually spear them down in the keys, they are bit harder to catch with bait.

That mutton is suposse to be 16" inches to be avail to keep himm.. but they sure r pretty.. nice catch what bait were you using for hogfish..

yeah it was a mutton snapper which i found out later. this was my first year fishing with the boat down there. i had no idea what alot of them were. we usually just catch pinfish and mangrove snappers in our creek. i finally got a boat down here.
