This is just some fooling around with some picking and some random chords just to show how the guitar sounds.

  • I'm an electric guitar player...just getting it out there. I wanna buy this guitar, but I don't want to buy an amp straight away. Can I just play the guitar normally? It'll just be in my bedroom; just because it's a shallow body and stuff I'm not sure. Help me out mate?

  • @klummster88 Yeah of course, its like any other acoustic guitar except that the sound is completely unique given its body shape.

  • it has, somekind of it's own sound, it's not as full as a normal acoustic guitar is it?

    how would you rate/recommend it?

  • @thinlinefan You're exactly right. It is not as full as a dreadnaught guitar. It has it's own very unique sound.

I would recommend it but only based on certain genres of music.

  • ncie sound. what kind of string do you use?

  • @kapiten06 I believe they were D'addario 9's or 10's

  • What do you mean with 'certain genres of music'? I like playing Jack Johnson, Oasis, Coldplay... Would it be OK for that genre? Please tell me so I can decide, thanks!

  • crisp and sharp even with size 11 sets.

  • i have ae 28 for 12 years now. coloration of body and frets never change. i use it everyday at work. dropped it several times just minor scratches but the highest e strings gone crazy i thought i need an allen wrench to tune it back to normal. repaired the pick-up once it's doing ok now. but the main characteristic of this guitar is that it has CRISP-SHARP sound that i need to almost turn the treble off add more mid and lows on my mixer.

  • would you recommend this guitar for me to buy? i play rhthym for my church praise band so it would be mostly contemporary christian music and chords.

  • I've owned an AE 28 for 13 years. This thing has been all over US and Canada with me, camping... played hard by myself and dozens of others through the years, I love it there are a few cracks on the finish but that just adds to the character of the guitar I have also a Gibson, Washburn, taylor, and ibanez, they all sit in their cases as i almost exclusively play my ae 28 when i'm not whaling my 7 string ibanez electric, i couldn't be happier with this guitar plays better than it did when new

  • Would you recommend this as a good entry level guitar? I've played acoustic and electric before and have a bit of experience, but this was a few years ago. I just want a comfortable guitar to play around with whilst lounging about. I like everything from bob dylan to linkin park, I don't want to be limited in what I can play. I don't want to get an electric because I don't want to have to use an amp to get a decent sound, I don't want an acoustic because they're massive. Is this a good choice?

  • @TMASONW more than a feelling boston

  • wtf is the first song u played its awsome and i totaly forget who it is

  • i have a applause guitar from 77' it was my step-grandpas then my step-dads for a long time, and now its mine, and i find it kool that the older the guitar the better it sounds, so i would match it up to a gibson mabye a martin

  • is this guitar better or the applause deluxe multi sound hole guitar
