That'd be silly; it's had the same name for over two hundred years and leads you into Portland Harbor. Not to mention, Portland is the main city in the surrounding area, the seat of the harbor, and the rocky outcropping that the lighthouse is situated on is historically referred to as Portland Head.

It is the most photographed. I wish that they would fix the named location because it's actually in CAPE ELIZABETH

I'm the guy who put this clip on here and I too think it should be called "The Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse." It's in Cape Elizabeth - 20 miles from Portland, and calling it a headlight makes it sound like a flashlight.

Yeah, but ... I think "OneCrazyWhiteGirl" is right. It's not a 'head light', it's a lighthouse. And it's not in Portland, it's in Cape Elizabeth. It should be called The Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse. Period!
