Musically speaking, this is a couple of levels above the original version, imo. It fits the mood of the lyrics better.

I wish there was a rock/grunge version of this. I always thought the original was a little too soft, but this one is too much of a departure. Sounds like they tried to do to much with it. I want just a simple rock version, a little heavier than the original.
