I call this cut the boring cut. It's similar in style anyway.

@cadets318 Yeah, it is similar, just leaves a little 'pie' slice at the back to support the tree till you're ready to fell.

This cut is called a split level, it is used for when trees are leaning against the direction of fall.

@LordJohnson91 Actually, it's a bit more complicated than a normal split level (I've done a video of a standard split level cut too). It's kind of a cross between a split level and a boring cut.
