DeNiro did a fine job. If he didn't get a little pissed when nobodies tried to tell him what to do, he wouldn't be a somebody. His bread and butter is based on his demeanor. He isn't going to stand there and be corny. First off, this promo is probably something that he considered a pain in the ass to film. He's a movie star, not some car salesman, and they drag him away from his work for this little promo shoot, and bust his balls? I respect his response. He is no pushover.
