Some Edwardian Lancashire cattle farmers, with their Lancashire Heelers, in the Vulnerable Breeds parade at Crufts 2008. Only 158 Lancashire Heeler puppies were registered with the Kennel Club in 2008, compared with 7330 West Highland White Terriers. The parade was organised by Paul Keevil, to highlight the plight of some of our native British dog breeds which are threatened with extinction.
