@SorokChyetirye Excuse me, that is not what happens, maybe rarely it might occur, but definately NOT what happens when you take the pill. Learn something from real books on biology, cell biology etc, not from "informative" videos on youtube!

If you stop your taking birthcontrol 3 days before you get to the sugar pill...when will you be more likely to get your period.?????

@nursedana09 I agree that the video is obviously wrong, however what you said depends on the type of contraceptive taken. For example, if you are on a combination of estrogen and progesterone, ovulation does not occur and the sperm can not attempt to fertilize the egg. Your statement is corret if the woman is only taking a progesterone based contraceptive. Since progesterone is not made in high quantities sill after ovulation, a spermatid can in fact fertilize an ovulative egg.

The pill makes your body think you're pregnant by releasing hormones. Then your boobs get sooo much bigger...or atleast that's what happened to me! went up 2 full cup sizes! and I'm still super skinny! I'm 5'7 and 100 lbs!

the pill releases a hormone that stops a woman ovulating, when sperm is in the vagina, there's no eggs there to fertilize, the sperm dies within 5 days.

Actually, "the pill" allows the sperm to implant in the egg. But it prevents the egg from attaching to the uterine wall, or makes it very difficult, thereby killing it because it cannot grow anywhere.
So "the pill" is not a contraceptive. It is an abortifacient.

this is absurd.. it's totally wrong. the sperm and egg still meets. and the sperm is able to fertilize the egg. The pill just makes the uterine wall incapable of being attached by a zygote. .therefore, the fertilized egg is just sloughed off from the uterine wall.. and so, pregnancy does not occur.. next time please make a more correct video. thanks.

nooooot trying to be a buzz kill, but for those who would take this seriously, that's not actually how it works. The sperm still meets the egg and conception still takes place. The pill just stops the egg from attaching to the ovary wall and instead causes spontaneous abortion by flushing the newly-conceived person out. The more you know.
sperm should meet the annoying orange.
