I'm not native american, don't know the singer or the tradition but would be happy to learn the whole backstory. What I can say is that someone sent me this song for my birthday and it moved me to tears. It was the best gift of the year.

i love this song its a good way of telling a young one we love them and cherish them and telling them to go on and carry the sacred ways of our ancestors aho im mad bcuz white ppl like to waste our medicine just so they can get a kick off of it i hope the mother peyote teaches them a lesson on not to play with this powerful herb!

ah ho NIzhoni...i think its a great that Brian has connected with other tribes songs and i respect that and its nice to hear all of the different types of languages that are out there and we are all connected in some way with the power of the medicine and fireplace..again thanks for sharing
