I've been listening to Green Day since 1996. That says a lot since I was born in 1991. I hate when people think I'm a fag or stupid for listening to Green Day. I'm sorry I'm a real fan of them and been listening to them the last 15 years of my life and respect all their work? I wouldn't have gotten so big into music if I didn't hear Green Day. =]

Because I started to listen to Green Day when American Idiot came out, and I'm like "Dude, I stared to listen to music in general around that time (I'm 15), and if you check my cellphone, I have both the full Dookie and 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours in my cellphone, along with yes, American Idiot and 21stCB, AND I have music from every album along with music videos, the whole Bullet In A Bible' DVD, interviews & photos"SoScrewThem!

Weather they are punk, were punk, or whatever, when they came out with Dookie, they sounded like nothing else that was around at the time. The whole debate of them selling out is so foolish to me. The sex pistols, the clash, both took huge record deals with big companies, and the ramones would have jumped at the chance to do so if they could have. No one ever argues weather or not they sold out. Punk is just a style of music, nothing more. Some of GD's stuff is more punk than other stuff-so what

guys, i am a major green day fan, but theyre not Punk anymore. they started out as punk but the got a major label, wich means theyr sell outs. and punk is against selling yourself out of the underground era
