TOM Mc CONVILLE AND TONY WILSON "CHRISTMAS STORIES"

Tom and Tony will be touring their "Winter Tales and Christmas Stories" show in November and December 2011 and this is a selection of exerpts of Christmas stories that storyteller Tony Wilson and BBC Folk Award, Musician of the Year, Winner Tom Mc Conville will be performing to children and students. The stories, tunes, poems and songs are suitable for all ages and the combination of their talents makes for an entertaining and engaging performance. The stories range from material for the very youngest of children at EYFS and pre-school level; "The elves and the shoemaker", "Duck said, "Quick!" to stories and poems for K.S. 2 children and adults; "Christmas cherries", "The dog and the peacock." as well as stories from around the world; "Baboushka" (Russian) and "Snowflake." (Czech Republic).
Tom and Tony have known each other for over 35 years and in the mid 1970's played together in a number of folk bands, as well as learning tunes and songs in the Irish pubs of Leeds and Manchester.
