Watermark goes to Brighton
Dover Arts Development (DAD) showed the first seven minutes of its new documentary, Watermark, about Buckland Paper Mill at the Brighton film festival presented by Cine-City. Watermark is one of eighteen projects awarded grants by Screen South to make use of archive film footage. The projects are being presented to the public as part of Archivia -- the Digital Film Archive Showcase. As well as the opening sequence of Watermark, DAD screened short films by by UCA Maidstone film & video arts graduates Marley Showler and Robert Bernard (2 X 2 mins) and third-year student Jamie Jenkinson, (3 mins). All three were crew at the 'Story Shop' in Dover where former employees from Buckland Paper Mill were interviewed for the film.
I'm glad you uploaded this, I wasn't able to get down to Dover and see the trailers on the big screen so I was wondering what you guys had come up with. I really like the way you incorporated peoples old photographs, did you use After effects to composite?
Nice work.
