Warsaw In Your Pocket editor Alex Webber navigates Warsaw Central Station (Warszawa Centralna) the first building many visitors ever see and which leaves a lasting impression.
Warsaw Central Station is exactly what it says on the tin: central. What it isn't is easy to navigate. From alighting the train you should take one of the two facing escalators in the centre of the platform which will lead you up into one of the underground passages that flank the main hall. Whichever side you come up on you will be one level below ground level and the ticket hall. Overall train travel in Poland is quite popular and trains are fast, cheap and usually on time.

  • I love Warsaw. Remember 85 percent of Warsaw was destroyed during WWII. unlike the French, the Poles did not 'kiss the butt of Hitler" and fought

  • Maybe the train station is nothing to be proud of by European standards, however, Warsaw is an exciting city with history and character...... I'll take this city over any other European city.

  • "Warsaw Voted Europe's Ugliest City"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Greetings from KRAKOW looooooosers..!!! ;)

  • @TheBeerNut1 This guy is just an idiot. Not worth listening to him.Complete lack of any taste. But pics are nice:)

  • @Cartoonistism I love your country. I have spent many wonderful times in Poland. I cannot wait until I return again.

  • Stop offending my country. By the way buy tickets for first class and it will be a nice train. You don't say what is good or bad in poland because we can sew you. HA

  • I love Warsaw and i think it's a beautiful country. I am lucky, because i was born in the wonderful full of history country. I was taught that if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all! Go trash some other country and leave beautiful Poland alone! You have no idea what beauty and elegance is.

  • There will be a new modern Station in 2013 after EURO 2012 ;) Can't Wait!

  • @07216driver V max wasn't shown on any of boards. 149 km/h probably was current train speed on LED instead of traditional, analogue speed clocks.

  • They starts building a new one at 2013.

  • 149 KM/H? It's rather a bug.
