  • We apologize for a racist comment that slipped by us unnoticed a few weeks ago. It's been deleted and the user has been blocked.

  • Have you tried Hauptwerk virtual organ? They have recently released Salisbury Cathedral organ which is brilliant and does not sound electronic, which with respect yours does. Keep up the work but it would be so much better if you used Hauptwerk. I have it on my PC and have made recordings, my organ tutor who is a traditionalist could not believe it was not the real thing till I demonstrated it to him.

  • @goodchappy

We're actually planning on switching over to Hauptwerk as soon as they release the plug-in version for macs (supposed to be coming out some time this year) Love the huge sound of the Notre Dame de Metz organ but the new Salisbury Cathedral organ may actually be better for what we record. Sounds great... thanks for recommending it!

  • voi voi . kuulostaapa hyvältä. tää omista pikku kajareista. miltäköhän se kuulostaa kirkkouruilla kirkossa ???? TOSI UPEAA.................

  • @meknight77 - Indeed, it always irks me that people have no idea that Away in a Manger and Silent Night are lullabies, meant to be sung delicately.

  • @meknight77 I completely agree. I've been irked year after year when the music for Away in a Manger and Silent Night have always been belted out. It may also be because very few churches have well-trained choirs which know how to obtain different tonalities and colours for the music.

  • @meknight77 Can't disagree as long as changing registrations contributes to the musical experience not detracts from it, but it's not the way that we want to go for our specific purposes.

  • Any organist worth their salt uses changes in registration to better enable the singing.

There is nothing worse that an organist who sticks to loud all the way through - especially when singing something like Away in a Manger for example!

  • @StevenBlakemore1994 I hardly think the music would necessarily have to go just because the religion got dumped; depending on whether it is Muslims doing the dumping.

  • I like what KLF did with this on "Its Grim Up North"

  • @fiish2 Yes I know. I have tweaked every setting on every "pipe" on my Hauptwerk setup and it took weeks but people that hear recordings of it, don't realise it could possibly be not a real pipe organ.

  • @LouisBowerBannister the queen's knight sir elton john will fight for her honour
