Posted as a reponse to Kevin Gallagher, because his lovely rendition got me fired up to record again. I have ignored the first repeat and inserted another in the first part of the second section. it seems interesting :-)

I don't know how this will appear because I haven't recorded for a while and have ended up with 320 x 210 pixel count. So, good luck. Additionally (grr!) I have to use the on-camera mike because my pickup is weak after a change of strings.

  • BEAUTIFUL*****

    Many thanks...

With sincere respect and with the happiness wish from Petersburg.

  • @Rai06f Thanks for your comment, very kind. I just added a new one, hope you like that too :o)

  • Hey Peter, since the last time I watched this I have started to learn this piece. It is very difficult! Great job playing this!

  • @sackasilver There certainly are some bits where I got caught out regularly! I wish I could say this was the first take, hee hee. There's a transition to Bb from F and back in the first section that might be helped with a bit of pre-positioning of the third and fourth fingers. And watch what you're doing with your left thumb. Just mentioning.

  • Your really able to pull out a very rich-clean tone on that guitar! That piece is new to me..very melodic and love the ending. makes me want to buy the Sor Collection - Complete Guitar Works book. You''d do a great job on some Tarrega peices too also Gaspar Sanz' "Las Hachas" would sound nice on your guitar.

  • @newislandguitar hi Kevin, I'm please you said that about this recording because it's the only one that isn't recorded through a pickup, it's the camera mike. Thanks very much for your kind words. as far as Sor pieces are concerend, I have the Tecla edition of the complete studies, loads of varied pieces in there. Must get sorted out for some new recordings!
