  • is this run on pump gas only ?

  • @RudeBoyDre187 ....It can run on either pump gas or race gas. Ran race gas through it this summer. Still have about 15 gallons to go before I get a new drum.

  • what kind of tranny do you have in there with it? is it a manual or auto cuz im just looking for a manny that can handle that much torque and power.

  • @fireblastingway2many Transmission is the weak link in the chain. It is a Munci m-21 4 speed. I will eventually switch it over to a Tremec TKO-600 5 speed. It is about the most hardened high torque/HP tranny you can buy out of the box that is a reasonable amount of money.

  • @Ls3guy The pan is a Milodon # 30975 The pickup tube and pump are also Milodon I believe. It is setup for a 7 3/4" deep pan.

Motor Mounts are a mystery. I had 4 sets of them, and chose the one that gave me the least amount of clearance between the front crossmember and the pan. A sheet of paper will fit in there, but not a piece of cardboard. They are solid mounts. Solid for the tranny. Solid body mounts. Solid leaf spring bushings. It rides rough, but it is solid.

  • @iliveinpublic sweet what mounts did you use and what oil pan pump and pick up did you use

  • @Ls3guy No, it was not hard to put it in. Took a little bit of time to find just the right motor mounts to get it to clear an air filter with a stock type cowl hood though. Motor mounts are solid and you can barely fit a piece of cardboard in-between the front of the oil pan and the front subframe crossmember. Only changes to the motor itself was the oil pan, oil pump and the pickup. Other than that, it dropped right in.

  • was it hard to drop that 572 in the 69 camaro

  • @nazarethfan89 .....They are two chamber flowmasters. Exhaust goes over the axle, then pointed at angles away from the car down. Blows leaves and debris away from the vehicle.

  • @nazarethfan89 .....They are two chambler flowmasters. Exhaust goes over the axle, then pointed at angles away from the car down. Blows leaves and debris away from the vehicle.
