If the U.S. comes out even more fervently than we have then it turns in to a U.S. backed revolution. That's bad policy. And as you may know, Mousavi is only slightly less radical than Ahmadinejad. And regardless, neither of them make key policy decisions. That's Khamenei's role.
Iranians wouldn't be free even if Mousavi were elected. Religion+Gov.=Tyranny.
