@getnmybelee, I didn't think you did. sorry if it sounded that way. I'm just saying that the "they" who have treated him cruelly are still individual people, not the Religion itself. the religion is the belief system, the people treating him badly are just people making a mistake (who happen to put some credit in that belief system.) just because this group of people are acting badly doesn't mean the belief system is worthless.

I do give you due credit for being courageous, no argument there, yet, can you imagine what it would have been like if you were black, or say asian, in addition to being gay? (apparently, we our spirits missed voting in your belief system) . Lastly, have you ever considered the possibility that maybe there's no god?

The church's stance on gays isnt going to change. Howevere, press on and i know the members can be very cold to gays, but they just dont understand. Its a sin not to love your neighbor so if they dont, thats their problem. Please stay active. This is the true church. Good luck out there!

It took me this long to appreciate people who have the courage to be who they are.
Doesn't matter about your sexuality or religion. Just that you are so honest about it, and obviously a caring and loving person.
I'd give almost anything to redo my life having the convictions and strength that you already possess. Whatever spiritual quality you have, it's a gift.

I am so proud of you for staying true to yourself. I don't think being Chriistian or Mormon has to mean that you're anti-gay because I'm Christian, considering converting to being Mormon, and I love everyone. Including gay people. I believe in love, period. I'm so sorry that you encountered such judgemental people, and I hope you can find a church that accepts you. :)
