Bela learned that she can ask for more petting if she contacts a human by stroking him with a paw and meowing. I continue to pet her after that not only for enjoyment, but also for the preservation of that particular communication gesture.

  • Not only is your cat very smart in communicating with you, and obviously very happy in your company, but she's a very *pretty* Persian. The extreme flat-faced ones scare me because they look deformed and unhealthy, but yours has a very pleasant and *healthy*-looking appearance. Good job with your cat. :-)

  • Too cute...

  • What a lovely cat!

  • Meow = "More, please!" Penny, my Exotic Shorthair does the same "Hey, pet me!" paw tap but her meow is a "Meh?" always sounds like a question LOL

  • Aww she is so beautiful!

  • Bela is a very beautiful cat :)
