@MichelleDerwinski coming from someone who can't stand the smell of fish sauce, it really is an essential for a well rounded flavor in some dishes. Just think about all the garlic and vinegar that is going to over power; you're not going to get something that a dish smells like crab bait.

Sorry I really couldn't tell you..it depends on how many people you are preparing for..I don't measure..I just do it according to my taste!..
