Born in Ensenada,Puerto Rico & the most famous Cuatro player of the Island! Mr. Toro arrived in the US in 1953 with the 4 Aces Trio & the rest is musical history: 4 albums with Los Panchos & one of them with Edy Gorme',Fania All Stars,Willie Colon & Hector La Voe,Arsenio Rodriguez,David Byrne,Junior Gonzalez,Larry Harlow,he performs the opening theme of Woody Allen's 1971 comedy "Bananas" which was filmed entirely in PR and countless other projects of his own & with others (to many to mention here) abroad & in the US. Once in Japan on tour with the Fania All Stars,he was introduced and many thought he was Japanese because of his name YOMO TORO. health issues notwithstanding Mr. Yomo Toro remains of the most beloved musicians we have today........ms
